November 2023

October Highlights

Dobby came to us all the way from Hogwarts to participate in Chillicothe’s Downtown Scarecrow Contest! He was successful in collecting plenty of socks for Seeds of Hope to help keep feet warm this winter.

We also had a blast passing out candy during Downtown Trick or Treat. It is always a highlight of our year to see all of the bookish costumes! Thank you to everyone who helped make this a safe and fun event this year.

Bookseller Recommendation

Chelsea recommends "Wintering" by Katherine May as a perfect late fall/early winter read. Consider this a how-to manual for self-care as you head into a slower, quieter season. Interwoven is the author's own story of repairing herself when life knocked her down, offering us a roadmap for transforming hardships and ushering in a new season. This title, along with others from Katherine May, are available for purchase at Wheatberry Books.
